THE CHEQUERS HOTEL

The Chequers Hotel is a Grade Two listed coaching inn located in the heart of Newbury in Berkshire, not far from the iconic Highclere Castle and world-renowned Newbury Racecourse. After enduring over 2 years of pandemic induced stagnation upon their business, the owners of Chequers wanted to increase awareness surrounding the hotel and reintroduce their boutique offering to new audiences. The owners contacted Perception Studios to discuss the best way forward to achieving the objectives.

 

Showcasing the hotel space and delivering a taste of the ambiance of the hotel was established as the top priority as well as providing the visitors to the Chequers website the ability to explore all hotel areas, from the dining rooms, lounges and through to the various different types of rooms on offer. With the virtual tour the main focus of the push, supplementary lifestyle photography was captured during the scan process to ensure that the hotel not only had a great tour but could use the additional content to use within the tour as interactive hotspots delivering further key information, but also for use across other key marketing material such as emails and social media.

 

The final virtual tour and additional collateral has resulted in an increase of over one thousand additional visits per month to the Chequers site since the virtual tour was pushed live.
