The Crafty Craft Race

is an event held every year by the Newbury Round Table.  They’re a group of local men who raise a huge amount of money for local worthwhile charities.  This year the event date was set for May 4th which helped them set the events fancy dress code too.  “MAY THE FORCE BE WITH” meant teams where asked to dress in a sic fi fashion if possible.

19 teams of all ages lined up at the Dundas Arms in Kintbury, to take on the Kennet & Avon canal and locks to race down to Victoria Park in Newbury.

The sunshine made an appearance and the park was packed for most of the day.

This year saw them giving donations on the day to Sport in Mind, Newbury and District Cancer Care trust, Newbury Family Counselling Service .

We where proud to be asked to help film the event again and spent the day running around the local area capturing footage of the teams and everyone having fun.

“It’s always great fun to be part of such a brilliant event” said Simon Scholes of Perception Studios. “When a group like the Round Table ask you to be involved, you know you’re helping raise money for some exceptionally worthwhile charities in the local community”
