That’s right, you read the title correctly, I’ve found the magic pill for business

Let me go back to last night.  I was at a networking event that will remain un-named.

I was in a room full of people looking for that one magic pill answer that would make them rich beyond their dreams, but, without having to really do any hard work at all to get it.

As humans we seem to be inherently lazy, looking for that ANSWER to all our prayers that means we don’t have to do a hard days work ever again.  It’s why the lottery works so well in every single country.

Anyway, as I sat there looking around the room, looking at all these people everything I already knew clicked even further into place.  “THERE IS NO MAGIC PILL”. If you’re not willing to bust your balls and put in the effort in the first place, stop right now.

Making a business successful isn’t easy, if it was EVERYBODY would be doing it.  It takes hard work, and perseverance for people to even start to see and hear your message.  Which is what this blog is all about.

I’ve spoken so many times about people getting a video created for their website, or doing a single facebook live and expecting this to bring them business.

VIDEO IS NOT A MAGIC PILL

It will not miraculously bring you a 1000 customers just because you have an all singing and dancing video on your website.  It will help, but it’s not the answer you’re looking for.  The answer you’re looking for is hard work and lots of it, and part of that is that you need to make your content work for you.

I am currently spending 2018 educating people about the need to re-purpose their content.  There is absolutely no point in having a facebook live sitting on your facebook group.  However, if that facebook live can be used to draw people to other content on your website, from other social media platforms, how brilliant would that be.

A bit of work every single month, and you could have a catalogue of content for MARKETING and SELLING your business, all based on your marketing calendar for the year.

So this is my big tip this week.  Before you go headlong into creating video content, understand your WHY.  Why are you doing this facebook live, what’s the message you want to get across?  That’s where your marketing calendar can come in to help you.  It’s massively important and will help you achieve the 5P’s I spoke about in the last blog and facebook live I did.

If you want to know more about the process I’m teaching business owners, to help them SAVE MONEY, CREATE CONTENT and REACH A LARGER AUDIENCE, just drop me a line, and I’ll be happy to schedule in a chance for us to chat and see where it takes us.
